The Lean Six Sigma Green to Six Sigma Black Belt upgrade training is designed for anyone who wants to expand their Lean Six Sigma Green Belt to the Black Belt level.
This upgrade training is developed for anyone who already holds a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and wishes to elevate their expertise to Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
A Black Belt is an improvement project manager, project auditor, and internal coach. You implement Lean Six Sigma within the organization based on personal leadership and responsibility. Black Belts are ambitious, driven leaders capable of creating support for change. The essential combination is leadership and in-depth knowledge of the organization and its business processes.
Our Approach
The Lean Six Sigma Black Belt training begins on the day you enroll and concludes on the day we officially award you your Black Belt. You prepare for the classroom sessions in our electronic learning environment. During these sessions, a variety of teaching methods are used. You will also start considering your improvement projects, and throughout the execution of these projects, you will receive support in various ways. One of our Master Black Belts will coach you during your training.
A Black Belt program is a solid starting point, but ultimately, it is about actually applying the acquired knowledge and skills in practice. In addition to joint training days, you will have access to our electronic learning environment, where you can prepare for the classroom training with theory, videos, and additional exercises.
Structure of the Training
The upgrade from Lean Six Sigma Green to Lean Six Sigma Black Belt training consists of four components. Thanks to the modular setup, you can choose when to follow each module. You also determine the program’s duration yourself, allowing you to take into account study load (2 hours per training day), holidays, and work commitments (important meetings, peak periods). The program consists of four days, starting at 09:00 and finishing around 17:00. You can start your Lean Six Sigma training at any time in our online learning environment1.
Certification Process
To become certified as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, we initiate the certification process together. You will execute a Black Belt improvement project. The requirements for the project are:
• The DMAIC project structure is mandatory for Lean Six Sigma certification.
• The improvement potential per project must be at least €50,000 for Black Belt level.
At the outset, during the intake, we verify that your proposed project meets the certification requirements to prevent issues later on. Upon completion, an on-site audit is conducted to determine whether the improvement methodology has been correctly applied and whether a sustainable project result has been achieved. During the execution of your project, you can receive coaching at your workplace from one of our Master Black Belts.
The program is at higher professional education (HBO) level. No prior knowledge is required to participate in this training. After completing the program, you will receive a certificate of participation. Upon passing the exam and successfully completing a project, you will be certified according to the Maruna standard. We follow the Body of Knowledge of ASQ, IASSC, and CSSC.
